To share audio straight from your computer to your collaborators on Muse during your session (Spotify or YouTube playback):
- Make sure you have at least one third party audio cable downloaded. We recommend Virtual Audio Cable and Voicemeeter so you can record and share audio at the same time. You can download them for free from this link: https://vb-audio.com/Cable/
- Restart your computer to ensure audio drivers are installed correctly.
To share computer audio, click Add Music Device in the Muse Mixer and select a third-party audio device under Computer Audio. We recommend VB-Audio Virtual Cable.
If you’re already sharing DAW audio, this option won’t work and you’ll need to stop sharing DAW audio first.
Alternatively, you can use Voicemeeter Out B1, (Make sure to keep the Voicemeeter app open!)
-
This will automatically switch your computer output to your third party audio device.
- You should now see a new device appear in your Muse Mixer labeled as your audio device. You can mute it, adjust its volume, or change its audio quality independently from other sources.
Remember: While sharing the HQ audio in a Muse session without headphones, the signals can be doubled as echo cancellation is disabled in this mode. To prevent this, you can wear headphones, mute your microphone, or enable push-to-talk on your microphone.
