To record audio from Muse in Cubase on Windows:
1. Make sure you have Virtual Audio Cable and Voicemeeter downloaded so you can record and share audio at the same time. You can download them for free from this link:
https://vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/
Note: Restart your computer to ensure audio drivers are installed correctly.
2. Create an audio track on Cubase (this is the track you will be recording onto).
3. Create an effect track on Cubase and select "MuseRecordingPlugin" as the effect.
4. The recording plugin will pop up. Make sure the recording device is set to "Voicemeeter Out B1."
5. On Muse, head over to Settings > Recording and select "Voicemeeter Input" as the recording device.
6. Arm the track that you want to record by pressing the "R" next to the input source.
7. Open Voicemeeter and make sure "B" is selected under "Virtual Input". You should see a signal coming through from Muse. Note: Make sure to keep the Voicemeeter app open at all times during the recording. It will not work if you close the app.
8. Back in Cubase, your Muse Recording Plug-in should now also say "Receiving audio."
9. Set the output of the first track (Audio 1) as the second track (Audio 2).
6. Arm the second track (Audio 2) and record as you normally would on Pro Tools. Audio from Muse will be recorded straight onto the track.
